C&M Seeds, founded in 1978, introduced hard red winter wheat to Ontario and is the leading supplier of wheat seed in eastern Canada.
The company began operations when Cameron and McLaughlin families decided to join forces in the seed industry, combining their talents to produce seeds together. They now sell various types of wheat seeds, as well as strains of soybean, barley, oats and mixed grains.
In 1983, Palmerston Grain, a large scale grain elevator, opened and has continually invested in its facilities, technology, and people, currently boasting 2.1 million bushels in storage capacity.
Today, the farm resides on the original family farm of Norris and Eila McLaughlin.
