Palmerston Lions Club

Palmerston’s Lions Club has supported a multitude of community projects and charitable causes over their long history. Their largest contributions include the restoration of the Norgan Theatre and the construction of the Palmerston Lions Heritage Park.

The Clifford Lions Club is involved in a variety of community service projects, including the planting of trees and construction of park benches, as well as providing donations to other charitable organizations and service clubs.

Palmerston Agricultural Society Park

The Palmerston Agricultural Society Park is located off of Yonge and Albert Street on the edge of Palmerston. It includes four soccer pitchs, two baseball diamonds, a playground and a pavilion. It is adjacent to the Palmerston and District Community Centre.

A telecommunications company centered in Clifford, Wightman Telecom is a family business over 100 years old, providing internet, phone and television service to area residents.

Flowers to Fragrance Lavender Farm

Flowers to Fragrance is a lavender farm located on Highway 89, selling natural home and beauty products made from their plants. This family owned and operated business also offers field tours.

Town of Minto Heritage Association

Involved in microfilming old newspapers, recording life stories and graveyard inscriptions, presenting exhibits at the Minto Heritage Gallery, and recently publishing two books, the Minto Heritage Association keeps itself well occupied. The small club endeavors to preserve local history through a number of action-oriented projects and educational offerings.

Drew Anglican Cemetery

Drew's Anglican Cemetery is located on 16th Line, just past the Drew Community Centre and Ball Diamond.

Minto Dance Academy

The Minto Dance Academy is a dance studio located in the rear of the Town Hall Theatre. Jazz, tap, ballet, highland and hip hop classes are available.

Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum

The Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Palmerston’s history as a nexus of the railway age. Housed in the old Palmerston Railway Station, the museum contains a collection of donated railway memorabilia, artifacts and photographs. It is also the site of Palmerston’s Pedestrian Bridge.
