Handcar Races Marshalling

Working with electronic equipment to begin and time races at the Palmerston Handcar Races, along with recording run times after each race.

Research/Genealogy Volunteer

The Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum exists today because of the effort and dedication of community volunteers and concerned citizens.  Volunteers play a vital role in the maintenance and operation of the Museum, related rolling stock and buildings.  Volunteers also assist guests with research and genealogy requests. In addition, volunteers assist as required with special events, which help raise much needed funds to operate the Museum.  Without the support and commitment of community volunteers, the Palmerston Railway Heritage Museum would not be able to operate.

Festival or Special Event Volunteer

Handcar Race "Runner"

Assisting iwht the Palmerston Handcar Races by relaying times from race sheets to score board, assisting other volunteers with odd jobs, and helping participants, etc. with any questions they may have.
