Description

Timberwolves are the branch of Traditional Scouting for youth ages 8-10. Youth involved in Timberwolves participate in a wide variety of outdoor activies such as camping, hiking, cycling, archery, and games (the sky is the limit).  They also might do crafts, sing songs, do skits, learn about first aid, and more.  Through these types of activities, the youth increase confidence and have grand adventures. 

We are looking for a couple of responsible adults to take on the leadership of a newly formed Timberwolf pack .  Leaders oversee all aspects of programming and our guided by other leaders in the organization.

Qualifications

All volunteers must have a clean police record check and vulnerable sector screening.  Basic First Aid and CPR training is an assest, but is not required. 

Additional assets would include a love of the outdoors and a desire to help mould youth into the leaders of tomorrow. 

Responsibilities

Leaders are responsible for planning and executing regular meetings (weekly) as well as special events such as hikes and camps. 

Leaders are responisble for ensuring the health and safety of youth participants.

Committee formed of other leaders

Length of Appointment

At least one year, preferably longer. 

Time Commitment

weekly meetings usually run 90-120 minutes, plus planning time.

Support

Leaders are supported by other leaders in the organization.
